Feedstocks for biodisel production

Main Feedstocks Offered:

1. Used Cooking Oil (UCO)

  • Description: Waste oil collected from food processing and restaurants.
  • Advantages: Cost-effective, sustainable, and classified as a waste-based feedstock under RED II (EU Renewable Energy Directive).
  • Typical Uses: Second-generation biodiesel (UCOME).

2. Animal Fats (Tallow, Poultry Fat)

  • Description: Rendered fats from meat and poultry processing.
  • Advantages: High cetane number and availability as a by-product.
  • Grades: Technical Grade, Food Grade (for specific applications).
  • Typical Uses: FAME, HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) feedstock.

3. Crude Degummed Soybean Oil (CDSO)

  • Description: A partially refined soybean oil with gums removed.
  • Advantages: High oil yield and widely available in agricultural markets.
  • Typical Uses: Biodiesel, oleochemical industry.

4. Palm Oil & PFAD (Palm Fatty Acid Distillate)

  • Description: PFAD is a by-product of palm oil refining; palm oil is commonly used in tropical regions.
  • Considerations: Must meet sustainability standards (RSPO, ISCC).
  • Typical Uses: FAME, HVO.

5. Rapeseed Oil / Canola Oil

  • Description: Low-sulfur, low-saturated oil ideal for cold climates.
  • Advantages: Excellent cold flow properties, high biodiesel yield.
  • Typical Uses: First-generation biodiesel.

6. Acid Oils & Soap Stocks

  • Description: By-products of vegetable oil refining, rich in free fatty acids (FFA).
  • Advantages: Lower cost; suitable for pre-treatment and HVO processes.
